Labor Organizations

VA has long-standing relationships with labor organizations and recognizes their value in providing care to veterans and plans to fully engage them throughout Project HERO. VA will continue work with labor organizations and keep them apprised of the Demonstration's status. Together, VA and its partners will collaborate to achieve specific and challenging health system objectives and provide better care for all veterans.

VA will provide labor organizations with reports on a quarterly and annual basis. Reports will include metrics for cost, quality, safety, vendor performance and other data relevant to the demonstration. This will help to ensure that Project HERO is meeting the goals and objectives outlined in the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Conference Report H.R. 109-305.
