Water Heaters for Pouring Concrete in Cold Weather
Pour earlier in the Spring and later in the fall for higher profits and better concrete.
Heating water is five times more efficient than heating the aggregate. Water heating systems can be used in place of conventional boilers for ready mix, pre-cast, pre-stress, pipe, vault and block operations. A hot water heater can be used instead of a conventional boiler, and provides precise water temperature for high quality concrete, faster turnaround, reduced chemical usage, and superior float and finishing. Sioux water heaters provide an instant and continuous flow of hot water, and with the wide variety of options available, they can be customized to fit any operation. Heaters are available either oil, LP or Natural Gas fired, or have the new combination burner installed and switch between oil and gas easily and quickly. Sioux water heaters are modular, allowing for a small initial investment, and expandability as your operation grows. Water heaters are constructed of 14-gauge all-welded steel and angle iron. All heaters are National Board Registered and built to Section IV of the ASME Code. Units are available with optional water storage tanks, circulation pumps, and transfer pumps to discharge water to your batch plant. Standard models are available from 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 BTU/hr.
Steam Generator Thaws Aggregates
The Sioux Steam-Flo® is a portable steam generator that is an excellent source of heat for thawing and de-icing aggregates. This low pressure boiler also speeds up the curing process for pre-cast concrete, pipe, pre-stress and block operations, saturating the curing area with steam, uniformly heating the concrete and speeding up the normal curing process. Due to its portability, the Steam-Flo is ideal for use in overflow production and outlying areas. Units are manufactured and labeled according to ASME Code and registered with the National Board.
The Sioux Steam-Flo steam generator is ideal for wherever low pressure steam is required. This unit can be used in place of a conventional boiler for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. The generator produce 370-845 lbs. per hour of dry steam in minutes. The Steam-Flo provides continuous, unlimited steam. The unit is easy to maintain and built to last. Mountings include portable, stationary, or over-the-road trailer. The unit can be outfitted with an optional water tank and generator for completely self-contained operation.
The Steam-Flo vessel is registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, meets requirements of CSD-1 of the ASME Code, and is built to Section IV of the ASME code. Sioux has manufactured the Steam-Flo steam generator since 1939. Thousands are in operation worldwide, providing years of trouble-free service.
Hot Water Pressure Washer for Ready-Mix Equipment
Sioux’s line of self-contained hot pressure washers are ideal for cleaning and maintaining ready mix equipment. All units feature 200°F hot pressure washing plus cold pressure washing in one compact unit. Sioux hot pressure washers go right to the job site to clean mixers, trucks, equipment and facilities. Units include gasoline or diesel engine on skid or over-the-road trailer mounting to clean equipment at remote locations. Ratings are 120 - 360 GPH pressure wash @ 500 - 3000 PSI.
