Bill is Introduced on Behalf of Retired Congressman Ralph
Regula
(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Tim Ryan yesterday introduced
a bill to preserve the memory of President McKinley by retaining the name of
North America’s highest point, Mount McKinley. President McKinley, a Niles, Ohio
native, was the 25th President of the United States.
“Mount McKinley has borne the name of our 25th President for over 100 years,” said Congressman Ryan. “We must retain
this national landmark’s name in order to honor the legacy of this great
President and patriot.”
Congresswoman Betty Sutton joined Congressman Ryan in
introducing the bill, which was a priority of retiring Congressman Ralph
Regula.
