Inauguration Information
On January 20, 2009, Senator Barack Obama will be sworn-in as the 44th President of the United States on the steps of the United States Capitol.
My office has already received hundreds of requests for tickets to the Capitol grounds for this historic event, however only a limited number of tickets to the swearing-in ceremony will be available.
If you would like to request tickets, please CLICK HERE and fill out the attached form. Be sure to include your name, address, and email address. To expedite your request – when you get to the bottom of the form in the Your Message section under Issues please select Constituent Services. Then where it says “Tell us your Comments” please include the number of tickets you are requesting. If we are able to accommodate your request my staff will contact you.

If unfortunately my office is unable to accommodate your ticket request to watch the Inauguration from the Capitol grounds, there will be areas of the National Mall open to the general public that do not require a ticket.
