Inauguration Tickets

1005 individuals have called our office, each with requests for multiple tickets to the inauguration. This well exceeds the number of tickets we anticipate we will be able to distribute to our constituents. In past years, Congressional offices have received fewer than 200 tickets for distribution purposes. Since there is very little chance that we will be able to fulfill more than a fraction of the requests we have already received, our office will not accept any additional ticket requests.

We are still waiting to learn how many tickets we will have to distribute. Once we have that number, our office will work with the Tennessee delegation to maximize the number of 7th district residents who can attend the event. Please do not call and check on your request

Ticket recipients will be notified by our office by phone. They will also be told when they can pick up their tickets in our DC office. We will require that recipients must present valid identification, consistent with the name of the person who requested the tickets and bearing a 7th district mailing address.

Presidential Inaugurations are more than just up-close tickets to the swearing-in ceremony. Some public, non-ticketed, access has traditionally been available for pre-inaugural events on Monday, January 19th and the swearing-in and inaugural parade on January 20th. Our office is not able to provide access or assist with logistics for these non-ticketed events. Constituents should consult the Joint Committee on the Inauguration’s website at www.inaugural.senate.gov and the forthcoming Presidential Inaugural Committee which can be accessed through the transition office at www.change.gov/learn/inauguration.
