Natural Wet®
Bio-Degradable Antistress Wetting Agent

Natural Wet® is a special formulation designed to alleviate the stress plants suffer under unfavorable conditions. Natural Wet can also facilitate nutrient and water absorption, adding Natural Wet to the spray tank enhances the spreading and sticking properties of the spray solution. The main ingredients are saponins which are sapogenin glycosides derived mainly from yucca plant extracts.

Generally, the stress plants may encounter are as follows:

  • Temperature extremes-- hot and cold temperatures
  • pH -- high and low pH
  • Moisture -- insufficient or excess amount of water
  • Lack of nutrients
  • Toxicity -- excessive use of chemicals
  • Transplanting shock
  • Physical damage to the plant

When plants are under these stressful conditions, their vigor and productivity are compromised and may even lead to their death.

Yucca is a desert plant subject to harsh environmental stress conditions. The high saponin concentration existing in yucca plants may be partly responsible for their ability to physically survive in an environment with such low moisture, and in high and low temperature extremes.

Saponins are plant glycosides characterized by foaming in aqueous solution. Complete hydrolysis of saponins yields sapogenins and sugars. Under unfavorable conditions, saponins tend to limit biological activities and hence protect the plants from suffering damage. However, when conditions become favorable for growth, saponins stimulate growth and development of the plants.

Saponins also act as surfactants because of their wetting properties and thus enhancing the nutrients and water uptakes of the plants. They may either play a role in plant hormone production or they may be hormones themselves.

    Active Ingredients: Saponins 10.0%
