1982 by Ed and Betty Rosenthal, Florikan®
is a family owned business headquartered in Sarasota, Florida. Florikan employs
more than fifty experienced, dedicated individuals, and thanks to the loyalty
of our customers, we have enjoyed steady growth over the past twenty years of
operation.
For over
twenty years, Florikan E.S.A. (Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture)
Corporation has provided professional growers throughout the Southeastern U.S.
with quality horticultural products. Our fundamental philosophy is one of
environmental sustainability, and in addition to being a leading supplier of
horticultural products, Florikan is also committed to educating growers about
the most effective "green" growing practices available.
Florikan’s product line encompasses
controlled release
fertilizers, nursery containers,
greenhouse coverings,
biological pest control products, and
soil amendments. We are also the exclusive
distributor of Nutricote Controlled Release Fertilizer in the Southeastern U.S.
Nutricote is known throughout the horticultural industry as a proven,
dependable, growers’ problem-solver. Florikan operates a fertilizer
blending facility where slow release fertilizers are custom-blended to meet
growers' precise needs. We also manufacture our signature Staged Nutrient
Release® (SNR)technology as a cost
effective and environmentally preferable alternative to traditional
fertilizers. Florikan is also the largest distributor of ITML Horticultural
Products, a full line of nursery and greenhouse growing containers made from
recycled materials.

History
Florikan E.S.A. was founded upon a
vision— to introduce to the plant growing industry a more effective,
efficient method of crop production, one that safely grows the best quality
plants, saves labor, and is environmentally sustainable. In 1982, at the
company's inception, we devised our signature motto: "helping the grower find a
better way." Today Florikan continues to fulfill that promise, by manufacturing
and distributing only the finest quality crop safe products, and by
demonstrating those products' superior performance benefits to our
customer— partners. Because of this, Florikan has become one of the most
respected and most progressive horticultural supply companies in the
Southeastern U.S.
