Crops for High Density Vertical Growing Systems
Many crops have been grown successfully in the
new, patented vertical growing system (VGS).
This growing system was originally developed to grow strawberries
hydroponically rather than in soil when the soil sterilization
chemicals are taken off the market. See some of the photos
below for a variety of other crops that are now being grown
in the Verti-Gro system.
These include many types of leaf vegetables including several
varieties of lettuce, spinach, and greens such as mustard.
Herbs are a natural crops for vertical towers and the quality
and quantity is unsurpassed by any other system. Foliage cuttings
have yielded up to 10 times as much per unit
area as the conventional systems now in use.
