Congratulations Planning, Grants and Research!

ISP's PAM Study wins national recognition

The Idaho Statistical Analysis Center (SAC), housed within Planning, Grants, and Research, recently won the Phillip Hoke National Publication Award for Excellence in the Statistical/Management Report category for the “Idaho State Police Allocation Study,” authored by Janeena Wing.

The award was presented to Janeena by the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) in October 2008 at their annual conference in Portland, Oregon.  The Phillip Hoke Award recognizes outstanding publications by state Statistical Analysis Centers, and is the most prestigious form of recognition presented to SACs for research publications each year.

JRSA presents the award annually to SACs that have demonstrated excellence in translating statistics and research into publications that serve as the basis for informed policy.  The competitive contest includes publications submitted by SACs from various states that are judged by a panel of national experts in the field of criminal justice research and reporting.  Judges look at report organization, data presentation and description, analysis and conclusions, and impact on policy development
