Due to a very high volume of claim submissions, the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training is currently experiencing delays in processing some unemployment claims filed online. To address this problem, we have temporarily reassigned a greater percentage of our staff to focus solely on online claim processing.
Please be reassured that if you were assigned a confirmation number for a claim filed online, we have received your claim and are currently processing it. You may check the status of your internet claim online at https://uiclaims.state.ri.us/UI-INET-STAT/IntroPage.aspx. You may also email the department with any questions at uihelp@dlt.ri.gov. Emails are currently answered within three business days.
If you have already filed online, please do not resubmit an existing claim, as this will extend your processing time further.
