TRAX Bridge Update: 7800 South Open
Thursday, September 11, 2008 - 05:17 AM
The intersection at 7800 South and State Street is open, thanks for your patience. Northbound & southbound State Street traffic has been shifted to the east side of State Street so that crews can continue storm drain; sidewalk, curb and gutter; traffic signal, and bridge work on the west side. This traffic configuration will be maintained for the next few months.
Traffic will continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction until project completion. Access to businesses will remain open with minimal access restrictions, please continue to provide your support. Commuters should anticipate traffic delays during peak commute hours and take alternate routes if possible.
Pedestrian access is closed in the work zone on State Street. West Center (7720 S) or West Wasatch (8000 S) to Roosevelt are suggested as an alternate route.
The TRAX Bridge Construction Team Work schedules are subject to change due to bad weather, emergencies or equipment problems. FOR INFORMATION CALL: 801-673-0774 or EMAIL: TRAXBridge@comcast.net

Emergency Preparedness
Wednesday, February 06, 2008 - 10:28 AM
The Salt Lake Valley is interlaced with fault lines and geologists say we're overdue for an earthquake. Add to that our potential for severe weather such as winter storms and microburst winds and every one of us should be preparing for natural disasters. Go to www.ready.gov for information on how to prepare yourself, your family, and your business or download an emergency checklist here.
