Citizen Advisory Committees

We are listening!

The Citizen Advisory Committees enable Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) to engage a diverse group of citizens in targeted analysis of departmental issues and citizen concerns. The citizen advisory committees ensure that our programs, policies and services are responsive to community needs; and ensure that these are supported within the community.

Each committee meets once a month in the Seattle Municipal Tower located on 700 Fifth Avenue. Meetings are open to the public. Parking passes, refreshments, and staff support are provided to the committee members.

To apply, please fill out the Citizen Advisory Committee application form (DOC). For additional information about each committee, please call Aurora Mendoza, Program Manager, at (206) 733-9687.

SPU currently has three advisory committees:

Each of the above committees is chartered (PDF) by SPU and reports to the SPU Director.
