Ladies Day of the Arts will run from 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rahr-West Art Museum, 610 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Women can make friends, explore new ideas and re-energize their creative spirits. The theme is “Empowerment.” Lunch will be provided by the Courthouse Pub. Life Aboard the Challenger: At the Helm and Behind the Lens, Wisconsin Maritime Museum, What would it be like to spend most days of the year riding on waves rather than driving on highways? Captain Rocky Groh has spent most of his Great Lakes sailing career on board the S.S. St. Mary's Challenger, and he will share his perspective with us. Photographer Chris Winters features the boat in his exhibit on display at the Museum, he will share his view of the ship from behind his camera lens.
