The Village of Hobart is located in northeast Wisconsin, bordering the west side of the City of Green Bay. About 5,700 people reside in this community with wooded hillsides in the north, and a relatively flat terrain in the south. Hobart has 33 square miles of scenic land in which many residents enjoy country lots just minutes from shopping centers, recreational facilities, and museums.

The Village of Hobart is in forward motion with its new commercial area. On December 9th, the Board of Trustees formally approved a name for the project:  Centennial Centre At Hobart . The name is being trademarked. The Board also approved the Master Plan agreement to define the standards and guidelines for architectural themes, schematic engineering for the layout of roads and infrastructure, and streetscape amenities.

As this project is being launched in the Centennial year of the Village, the vision for the Centennial Centre At Hobart is to honor our historical roots with an Old World theme set in a contemporary, attractive environment so that the Village has a strong new commercial space to ensure the next 100 years of the Village of Hobart. We'll be linking the best of our yesterday for the benefit of tomorrow in Hobart. The project will produce literally hundreds of new jobs and some significant affordable homes in the project area. All of the project will be located in a newly forming Tax Increment District, that should be in place by March 2009.

The Village Board of Trustees and staff is truly appreciative of the creative efforts and community spirit that one of our Hobart youth has demonstrated. Chris produced a 5-minute video of "Hobart's Claim To Fame." We encourage you to click on the link below and enjoy some true community spirit from a fine young Hobart resident.
