CSA Materials and Engineering Document Service Request is committed to filling every in-scope, properly cited request within 24-48 hours. Requests are processed during the local working hours of 8am - 5pm, U.S. Central Time. While there is a fee for filled requests, it is a cost recovery fee intended to support a strong collection and dedicated services.

Services & Costs

Document Delivery:

Non-academic requesters pay a cost recovery fee. Fees for accademic requesters are set at a lower rate that is partially subsidized by the library.

• Price per document up to 50 pages. Add 25¢ for each page over 50.

Copyright must be paid on all requests for materials that are not in the public domain except those requests received from not-for-profit, educational entities claiming exception under section 107 of U.S. copyright law. Copyright fees are set by the individual rightsholders and vary from publication to publication. Use the Maxcost feature on your request form to ensure that you do not receive requests with copyright fees higher than the amount you wish to pay.

Color Copies:
$1.00 - Color copies are available upon request for an additional $1.00 per page. Please allow additional delivery time for color copy requests.

Book Loans:
Academic $12.00
Non-Academic $16.00
Price per volume. North America only. FedEx Delivery only. Some material, such as reference works, journals, tech reports and conference proceeding are not available for loan.
