Tours and Instruction

Educational Tours and Bibliographic Instruction

Library exterior

Students visit the Library and get a look behind the scenes of a major research library. Library instruction sessions are available to focus on students’ research needs. Students learn how to use specialized databases, and reference librarians are available to answer questions throughout the research process.

Librarians are also available for on-site school visits and to attend teacher events.

For more information, or to schedule a tour, please contact Jenny Bruenger at (816) 926-8725 or (800) 662-1545 ext. 725 or via email at bruengej@lindahall.org.

Grounds Tours

Students and teachers visit the Library’s urban arboretum, a Missouri wild flower garden, herb gardens, a dwarf conifer garden, a butterfly garden, as well as our famous tree peonies and irises.

History of Science

Students and teachers can tour the Rare Book Rooms and view rare and important books from the history of science. Arrangements can be made for students to conduct research with these materials.
