Collection Highlights

Chemists will find particular depth in organic, physical, and analytical chemistry. Industrial aspects of chemical manufacture and use are also well represented in the collections.

As our knowledge of life processes at the molecular level has grown, the Library has expanded its holdings in this area. Always strong in biochemistry, toxicology and basic science aspects of pharmacology, the Linda Hall Library is adding additional materials in bioinformatics, proteomics, and genetics.

Because many libraries have strong collections in clinical medicine and practical agriculture the Library does not collect in those areas but practitioners in the applied life science fields will find much related to the science on which their disciplines are built including soil science, biochemistry and physiology.
