The Natural Resources Board (NRB) was created by Act 115 of
the Vermont General Assembly to succeed the Environmental and Water Resources
Boards on February 1, 2005. The NRB is a
nine member board which is divided into two panels, the Land Use Panel and
the Water Resources Panel.
Each panel has five members, including NRB Chair
Peter Young, Jr..
All appeals from District Environmental Commission (Act 250) decisions and District Coordinator Jurisdictional Opinions are heard by the Environmental Court. All appeals from permitting decisions of the Agency of Natural Resources are also be heard by the Environmental Court, as well as local land use decisions. Appeal information can be found at the Environmental Court web site. Information about the Act 250 program, District Commission cases, and any pending rulemaking is found at the Land Use Panel web site. DIRECTIONS TO NRB OFFICE: Take I89 to Exit 8. At the first stop light turn right onto National Life Drive. Proceed to the top of the hill and take a left into the National Life office complex. Our office is in the small bldg. at the end of the parking lot. National Life security requires that you must call our office at 828-3309 from the lobby in order to gain access to the building. |
