Welcome to the City of Susanville's website!
"Where the Sierras Greet the Cascades" The City of Susanville was founded in 1854 by Isaac Roop, and incorporated in 1900. Located in the northeast corner of California, our city is midway between Redding, California and Reno, Nevada. Susanville has an airport, a new fully accredited hospital, and educational opportunities are available locally at Lassen Community College. With 200 plus acres of parks and open space, area residents enjoy unlimited recreation opportunities including fishing, hunting, hiking, bicycling, and boating. In April 2008, the Susanville area was voted the Pacific Region's Best Place to Live for Sportsman by Outdoor Life Magazine.
Susanville is truly the Trailhead to the Outdoors.
