Come spend your after school afternoons with your friends playing games and having fun in our after school program. A Mobile Recreation truck will arrive at the specified locations below, to offer recreational activities for kids. Come play games, obtain homework assistance, create arts and crafts or just drop by to say hello. Four locations are now open for recreational fun.
The Stanton City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 7800 Katella Avenue, Stanton, CA 90680. Agendas are posted on the website the Thursday prior to the meeting.

The public review period is open on the draft update to the City’s 2001 housing element which will be forwarded to the state department of housing and community development (hcd) for review and comment. Subsequent to state hcd review, a revised draft will then be considered for adoption by the city council at a noticed public hearing. See Press Releases for the Housing Element.
PER CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 2008-38 All Banner and Garage Sale Permit fees will be waived during the period of October 15, 2008 to December 31, 2008. **Permits will still be required and time/quantity limits will still apply; however, fees will not be collected.** Should you have any questions please contact the Community Development Department at 714-379-9222.

Police Facility Temporarily Relocated
The City of Stanton Police Services Facility has temporarily moved to 7455 Katella Avenue. The station is located at the corner of Cedar and Katella across from the Stanton Library. The relocation is due a $2 million dollar remodel project of the station located on Cedar. It is estimated that the remodel will be completed by summer of 2009. Stanon Police Services

Harry Dotson Park Opens!
Harry M. Dotson Park Grand Opening was held on Saturday, November 8. 2008. The park opened its doors to over 400 community members at 10 AM. The park’s design features include: 2-5 year and 5-12 year old playground, picnic area and shelter, an interactive water play area, ½ basketball court, walking/exercise path, shady trees, open grass area with relaxing passive areas and restrooms.
