MOBILE RECREATION PROGRAM
Come spend your after school afternoons with your friends playing games and having fun in our after school program. A Mobile Recreation truck will arrive at the specified locations below, to offer recreational activities for kids. Come play games, obtain homework assistance, create arts and crafts or just drop by to say hello. Four locations are now open for recreational fun.
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
The Stanton City Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 7800 Katella Avenue, Stanton, CA 90680. Agendas are posted on the website the Thursday prior to the meeting.

This week's featured Pet of the Week for the City of Stanton is "Choo Choo" an eight year old, spayed female, orange and white, domestic short hair, ID# A0935073. "Choo Choo" is an older gal who still has lots of love to give, is very sweet and would make a wonderful companion for any loving family. UPDATE TO CITY'S HOUSING ELEMENT
The public review period is open on the draft update to the City’s 2001 housing element which will be forwarded to the state department of housing and community development (hcd) for review and comment. Subsequent to state hcd review, a revised draft will then be considered for adoption by the city council at a noticed public hearing. See Press Releases for the Housing Element.
TEMPORARY WAIVER OF CERTAIN FEES
PER CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 2008-38 All Banner and Garage Sale Permit fees will be waived during the period of October 15, 2008 to December 31, 2008. **Permits will still be required and time/quantity limits will still apply; however, fees will not be collected.** Should you have any questions please contact the Community Development Department at 714-379-9222.
