12/18/2008 - City facilities to close on Fridays to accommodate furloughs As part of an effort to help close a nearly $3 million projected gap in sales tax, property tax and other revenues for the 2008-2009 budget year, the City has enacted a plan for 80 hours of unpaid furlough for all civilian employees. The plan will result in closures of most City facilities every Friday, beginning Feb. 27 and lasting through the end of the Fiscal Year on June 30.

1/5/2009 - Man held up in home invasion robbery Detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery after a man was held up at gunpoint in his home in the 1400 block of East San Bernardino Avenue Sunday.
1/4/2009 - Two stabbed after party-crashers refused entrance Redlands Police officer's responded to a reported stabbing in the 1600 block of Washington Street at shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. The investigation revealed that two 17-year-old males received non-life-threatening stab wounds. The victims were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
