| On February 17, 2009, all full-powered television stations will begin broadcasting only in digital, as required by law. If viewers who receive free over-the-air programming (with a roof-top antenna or "rabbit ears") have a TV with an internal digital tuner, it will continue to work the same. However, viewers with an analog television will need a digital-to-analog converter box to continue to watch broadcast television.
Cable and satellite TV subscribers with analog TVs hooked up to their cable or satellite service should not be affected. For more information, and money-saving coupons, click here.
