For demolition, you must call Dan and he'll have you sign a right of entry form for the building inspector to see if your home is eligible to be demolished. Do this before the end of August to help meet deadlines. Also, the forms may be dropped off at the Louisa County Assessor's Office. The FEMA trailers are 14'by 60', have 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, and come with living kit (pots, pans, plates, flatware, and bedding). The trailers require a 200 amp service since they use electric heat and need adequate septic and water hook up. FEMA will hook them up. The trailers may be used for up to 18 months ending November 25, 2009 unless FEMA extends their deadline. The supervisors on Tuesday, July 15 will be voting to wave zoning requirments for 18 months so trailers can be put on farmsteads and lots while residents are reconstructing.
