Clayton County, Iowa has an opening for an Assistant County Engineer. This position is based out of Elkader and works very closely with County Engineer in the designing, construction and management of the County’s transportation improvement projects. This is a challenging diverse role that offers an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The ideal candidate will be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Iowa or have the ability to obtain a license within 4 years. They will be able to demonstrate computer aptitude with spread sheets, word processing, computer aided drafting and survey equipment. Strong leadership skills and able to work effectively in a diverse environment is a plus. Position will remain open until filled.
