Awards of Environmental Excellence Award Application Process Sustained Contributor Nominations Call for Presentations

Awards of Environmental Excellence

Entries are now being accepted for Sustained Contributor as part of IECA’s 18th annual Awards of Environmental Excellence.

Deadline for Award Entries is November 30, 2008.

Judging Criteria

All entries will be evaluated by IECA’s Awards Committee based on the following criteria, as applicable to the award category:

  • Professional achievement within industry
  • Service as a role model within IECA
  • Service as a role model outside IECA
  • Performance in “unique” circumstances of merit
  • Efforts to promote the industry

If you are selected as a winner, you will be honored at IECA’s annual conference, EC09, February 9-12, in Reno, Nevada. You will join a distinguished group of worldwide erosion control specialists who have demonstrated the highest levels of natural resource management.

In addition, you will recieve the following:

  • International recognition for accomplishments
  • Recipients achievements and talents will be honored at the annual EC09 Awards Luncheon
  • An opportunity to showcase achievements to an audience of clients and peers at IECA’s annual conference EC09
  • Valuable exposure through IECA’s members –only publication, Environmental Connection
  • Editorial coverage in Erosion Control Journal, IECA’s official magazine
  • Exposure on IECA’s website
  • Recognition as a leader in the erosion and sediment control profession
  • A news release for media use and a complimentary photo to distribute to publications of choice
  • A certificate providing official notice of Award status
  • Special ribbon to announce Award status while attending EC09

Sustained Contributor Award

Honorable recognition to an esteemed IECA member who has made outstanding contributions to improve the erosion and sediment control community. The Sustained Contributor category includes members who have demonstrated leadership by example through a significant and long-term contribution to the erosion and sediment control industry and to IECA through education, government involvement, research or the development of technology. Entry must clearly document evidence of distinguished service and outstanding contributions to the erosion and sediment control industry and to IECA.
