George Gundrey, pictured in the former Diego’s Cafe, has a lease on the DeVargas Center space last occupied by the cafe, which closed last August after the Health Department linked Diego’s with several cases of salmonella poisoning. The planned 'very moderately priced' restaurant will serve Northern New Mexican food, 'but we want to use more local producers' than other, similar restaurants do, Gundrey said. Read the story.
