City Invests in Neighborhood Arts and Cultural Events The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs announces funding awards to 37 neighborhood arts councils and community organizations through its Neighborhood & Community Arts program.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration Join us for a full afternoon of awards, activities and entertainment in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 19, noon – 5pm at Seattle Center House.
All Seattle City Offices will be closed on Monday, January 19 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Holiday, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 20. Seattle garbage, yard waste and recycling collections will be on a normal schedule.
Open House for Light Rail Station Parking Plans The Seattle Department of Transportation and Sound Transit is holding an open house on January 22 for neighbors of the new Link light rail stations in Rainier Valley and south downtown.
