Wind Storm Clean Up Efforts

    

BRUSH PICK UP GUIDELINES:

Would you believe that the Service Department currently has over 216 cubic yards of chipped wood on site as a result of storm debris removal? In addition to that, they are storing 4,500 cubic yards of unchipped brush. That is enough to cover an entire football field, six feet deep! All of the brush will be chipped in a tub grinder at a later date.

Approximately 85% of the Township has received a first pass for brush pick up. Every home in Springfield Township should have their first visit by November 1. A second pass through Springfield Township will follow immediately. The second pass is estimated to take 2-3 weeks. It is not necessary to call for brush pick up at this time. The Township Service Department currently has three brush crews out and an outside service has been contracted to assist as well. The amount of brush is still very heavy and we ask for your patience as crews continue work their way through all streets in Township.
