Notices:

Video fish counting will go all winter long at Bonneville Dam.  Video fish counting will be started again in March at Lower Granite Dam.  Live fish counting will start again at all 8 Corps dams in April 2008.

Fish counting done by video takes some time to get to this website.  By contract, the fish counters have 4 days from the time the video was taken to make their counts and get them to the Corps’ Fish Field Unit.  The Fish Field Unit, in turn, may take up to several days to post the fish counts here.

Adult Fish Count Reports
Notes:

The Corps of Engineers has not reported daily fish counts at the mid-Columbia River Public Utility District dams for several years. Please look at the following links for fish count information from the mid-Columbia River dams:

Also,

  • Wild steelhead are counted separately from hatchery steelhead at Corps dams on the Columbia and Snake Rivers.  Wild steelhead are identified as fish with an intact adipose fin. However, a small number of hatchery fish may not have had their adipose fin removed.
  • Starting on 1 January 2002, the winter daily counts were expanded to 16-hour counts from the historical 8-hour counts.  (Fish Passage O&M Coordination Team)
  • "R" and "L" stands for "right" and "left" side of river as you are looking downstream in the Snake or Columbia rivers.
  • See what fish are passing Bonneville Dam's Oregon count station at the : Live Fish Cam (High speed) or Live Fish Cam (Low speed).
