The North Carolina USGS collects and analyzes chemical and physical properties of water at gaging stations across the state. These real-time water-quality data are returned directly from field instruments. Instantaneous data are recorded at 5-minute to 1-hour intervals and uploaded to the data base every 4 hours. These pages provide data for the past eight days for all current North Carolina real-time water-quality stations. For historical data and expanded site information, please refer to NWIS Web.

The data you have obtained from this automated U.S. Geological Survey database have not received Director's approval and as such are provisional and subject to revision. The data are released on the condition that neither the USGS nor the United States Government may be held liable for any damages resulting from its use.
