If Hooters was moving into a building downtown, what would the City Council Do?

I heard that the old T Bones building has been purchased and that it will be torn down so that a new Paradiso restaurant can be built.  Once Paradiso moves out, Hooters will move into their current building.  Ruby Tuesday's is going to go into the old Pier One building next to Denny's if they can make a parking arrangement with Staples.  (Denny's doesn't want to share.

Even if Hooters goes next to the mall though, the City Council still has to go do a personal inspection and make sure that the Hooter's girls' hooters are covered.  Can't have any uncovered hooters in a high visibility shopping area.

Rumor Monger - don't be spreading rumors. T-Bones is where Hooter's will be going and Pier 1 is where Ruby Tuesdays will be going. Paradiso can just demolish their place and go away. And why would Denny's have to share parking? Part of that lot belongs to the Pier 1 building, unless Denny's bought it all when it closed. Not sure.

the fella that owns paradiso already owns the t-bones building and will probably move up there if the t-bones building doesn't miraculously sell in the near future.    that's been in the works for years.... at least since t-bones folded.     the paradiso spot will go up for rent or be razed (along with the miracle mart, yes, miracle mart will go bye-bye in a couple of years when their lease is up with the mall and then you'll see a big-box retail store in there or possibly restaurant(s)).     you'll NEVER see a hooters in minot but not because of any city codes or anything like that............  that's complete nonsense.     you won't see a hooters because the casual dining dollars are/will be too spread out now and hooters has not done well in north dakota in the past.       don't kid yourself.     by the way, pizza ranch is coming up by walmart supercenter. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -  as it all of you fat minotians need another pizza option........................................

So "In the Know", you tell us that there will never be a Hooters in Minot because there isn't enough business for another casual dining restaurant in Minot. Then why do you think another restaurant or restaurants could take the place of Miracle Mart? You don't by any chance own a restaurant in town do you? You sound like someone who does and is worried about the effect of having Hooters here. Beleive me if it comes here your darn right I'm eating there before I'd go to some of the places already here. This town on weekends is busting at the seams with Canadians, has more AFB servicemen coming to Minot, and the extra oil money. What makes you think another large retail business could make it here then. Where are you coming up with your facts?

Dennys has a full lot on sat and sun so that is why they do not agree with ruby having that building .

I'm sure Dennys is going to be concerned.  They are going to take a big loss in sales.  Company that owns Dennys also owns Ground Round.  So call it a double blow.
