Cancer
Cancer covers a broad range of diseases characterized by the growth and spread of abnormal cells. The most common types of cancers are breast cancer, colorectal cancer, basal and squamous cell carcinoma, leukemia, and certain reproductive cancers. Cancer can be caused by external factors (chemicals, infections, tobacco) as well as internal factors (genetic mutations, hormones, metabolic mutations). To lower your cancer risk, experts suggest quitting smoking, eating a diet rich in antioxidants, exercising, and taking screening tests.
