I READ THE COMMENTS REGARDING NATIVE AMERICANS AND I WAS TRULY DISAPPOINTED. MOST OF YOU CAN NOT SEEM TO WRITE OR SPELL. SAVE THE HOOD CHATTER FOR THE HOOD. I AM A NATIVE FROM BELCOURT, I GREW UP IN THE CITY. I AM NOW AND FOREVER WILL BE PROUD OF MY HERITAGE. SOME OF OUR PEOPLE HAVE HAD ROUGH LIVES AND COULDN'T FIND THE STRENGH OR HELP TO CHANGE THINGS IN THEIR LIVES. NOT ALL NATIVES GET HANDOUTS FROM GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS. OR GET MONEY FROM CASINOS, BELCOURT DOESN'T GIVE ANYTHING TO THEIR TRIBAL MEMBERS. I ASKED FOR HELP FOR COLLEGE FUNDING FOR MY DAUGHTER, BUT, SINCE SHE IS NOT GOING TO SCHOOL IN N.D. SHE COULDN'T GET HELP. THE TRIBES THAT DO HELP THE PEOPLE ARE DOING A GREAT SERVICE FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES. IF YOU HAPPEN UPON A NATIVE PERSON OUT THERE THAT NEEDS HELP TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO TRY TO DO SOMETHING.

LETS KEEP THE PRIDE AND RESPECT FOR OUR HERITAGE ALIVE.

How about all the great employment opportunties for Natives in ND??/ Yea, right! And wonder why this forum has southern bigots hijacking this state's forum?? Well, there is always the United Tribes and the reservation's casinos! When whtie people become color blind then maybe educated Natives can get a decent job in a good company in this state.

SG - Speak for yourself. Prairie Rose has gotten quite a few people upset one this forum with her racist ugly talk. You seem to be the only one that can relate to her. As for you being Cherokee or whatever.. that means nothing if you are not enrolled in a tribe. I knew that you were not an Indian and did not live in ND by the mere fact you mentioned that you were an Indian. White people who claim to be PART Indian do not usually have the dark skin or features so they never have to experience the prejudicism and insult actual Indians have to endure.

diss me...LOL....well, poor girls from the reservation have nothing beter to do but! enywaze, since Im in school at derr moment..Id like to explain a tiny bit more about me. I live here bcos I CAN...I live out here becos I KNOW what life on the lonely rezz can be like..Man! I was upset to hear MY friends here who took a lissen about sRST...and they've decided we are the lowest of all reservations in the whole of this here Island..I sure wish God would do his job and make Indian Women with Better Morals...No body cares why you rant and rave about me..Just because of your obcession/spelld wrong///lol..Im NotGay... so please talk to YOUR elder women and elder men and talk to them about the GOODER things in life than you all trynna be winkte'... Im IN skool here in ohio...does that bother you?Im edukatin' mahseff to the finer things in lyfe..and to all back home.. pay no attention..as long as I aM NOT SLEEPING IN UR BED OR WITH UR PARTNER! DOEN WORRY 'BOUT IT..or If I ainta eetn' ya's foods then evn more-DOE worry 'bout it..LOL... my two frogs werthhhhhh...PTHHBT!thats me spittn out the nazzy werds of these poor girls...and I know where I was during my stint with the Marines! so hose off! The best way to help someone is to get them to help themselves. I keep tossing around the idea of having some kind of church seminar on the biblical aspects of personal responsibility, finances, and accumulating wealth. Basically how to take charge of your life and climb up the ladder from poverty to prosperity and encourage people to join the middle class or keep climbing.

Would something like this help?

I sure enjoy the whole equality argument. If you truly want that then we must first get rid of all the differences in law enforcement. For example........

In New Town, if an Native American and a White guy (the same height and weight) go out on the town, have the exact same things to drink, and both get pulled over at the same exact moment. Both individuals blow a .09. The White guy will be charged with D.U.I. and the Native will be allowed to drive away. This is because the tribal law lets Natives go to.10, and whites can only go to .08. Not exactly screaming equality is it?

And as far as the job outlook, as an employer we don't look at skin color. However, job performance as well as just showing up for work says a lot. And no I am not just talking about Native Americans, White people from around here are bad too. I think a lot of it is just the younger generation, doesn't want to work. We have had several work until they get their first check and not come back. All this leaves a sour taste in your mouth, after a while.

And I have yet to READ it anywhere.....That Indians always ALWAYS complaining about the black folks? arent there any at the air bases y'alls messin with?in minot theres a bunch..and they just like the east hoods here..Only more chiggnshytt!...but thats my question... dunno if ya'd answer but I doe care...gotta get to class later peeps!
