Maine Freeze-Frost Dates Table - Shows dates by which there is 10%, 50% and 90% chance of last spring occurrence, or first fall occurrence, of temperature of 36, 32, or 28 degrees F at 2 meters above ground.
(From Climatography of the U.S. No. 20, Supplement No. 1,  Nat. Climate Data Ctr., January 1988.  There can be widespread ground frost when 2 meter temperature is 36F.   Table shows dates for 18 Maine locations.  These dates give general guidance, but site-specific air drainage has strong influence on actual freeze-frost dates for a particular spot.  Thus, the probability of freeze-frost dates at your garden may vary from table values.)
