EatecNetX is a true enterprise back-office management system for multi-unit food service operators. The software runs from a single, centralized data source and is deployed across the Internet or company intranets, completely eliminating the need for a database and software at each unit.
Remote users connect to the EatecNetX system and run the software in real-time. There is no downloading, no uploading, and no synchronizing. Typically, a corporate server acts as the host for the EatecNetX database. The host must have a connection to the Internet with enough bandwidth to support the anticipated traffic. Users can check with their local telecom providers as to available capability and cost (T1 lines, DSL services, etc).
Personal computers at remote sites connect to a local Internet provider, usually through a DSL line, to obtain access to the company server. EatecNetX then takes over, linking the users to the EatecNetX database and opening the full spectrum of functionality: purchasing and receiving, inventory management, menu engineering, catering, point-of-sale and financial interfaces. From posting data to reporting, from forecasting production to viewing recipes, EatecNetX provides a solid, secure framework for on-line processing.
