The Salmonid Habitat Restoration Planning Resource is a digital compilation of information and data on threatened salmon and steelhead trout and their habitats within the watersheds of San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties in California. In addition to providing specific information about local watersheds, it provides valuable multidisciplinary information on watersheds, salmonids, land use, and habitat restoration relevant to salmonid recovery planning in the larger region. It also integrates:

• geographic information systems (GIS),
• on-line mapping, and
• management scenarios.

This will aid coastal managers and land-use planners in exploring watershed characteristics, species information, and recovery issues; identifying and planning habitat restoration projects; and supporting large-scale, long-term planning and management functions.
