Dear Jane, 

      I have just read about Genetically Engineered Foods that have 
obviously been available in the marketplace for some time now. 
      I do believe that there are many ways that GE Foods can help us as a 
society, and I needn't go into detail, but I also believe that: 

      A) All GE Foods should be labeled with all ingredients clearly 
displayed.  Everyone who enjoys great food should know exactly what they are 
feeding themselves.  Wouldn't you want the same thing for yourself and your 
family? 
      B) Whenever genetics are involved, for whatever reason, pre - market 
safety standards and testing for any and all problems should ALWAYS be 
performed, no matter if anyone in a laboratory says it is "Generally 
Recognized As Safe." 

      I support the Citizen Petition (Docket #00p-1211/cp1) and ask you, 
Jane Henney, to enable the testing and labeling of GE foods to become a
