Mission Statement

 

The Fort Bragg Area Community Foundation is a private, non-profit, charitable organization established to provide financial assistance to benefit the Fort Bragg community.

Some of the roles inferred by the mission are:

1. Properly assist community members who have a need for financial assistance.
2. Serve a repository for and manage the disbursement of funds from other Fort Bragg agencies that are not authorized to have separate tax exempt status.
3. Manage the Foundation in accordance with Internal Revenue Service Regulations, Army Regulations and accepted accounting principles.
4. Keep the community at large aware and the leadership at Ft. Bragg adequately informed regarding the activities of the Foundation.
5. Develop and implement policies and procedures that adequately support and facilitate the sound operation of the Foundation.

GENERAL The FBACF manages the funds provided to it as a private nonprofit 501 c (3) organization for the benefit of the Ft. Bragg Community. As such, the Foundation must comply with applicable IRS regulations, AR 210-1, as well as its governing constitution and bylaws in the acquisition and the disbursement of available funds. Funds are derived from a variety of sources and are carefully managed in accordance with the laws, regulations and the policies of the Foundation
