We still have to eat! Covering the American Farm Bureau meeting this week, I am seeing farmers and livestock producers from across the country who are of commercial size and business mindset. Farm Bureau thinking is conservative-progressive with a primary interest in agriculture but a broader interest in economic and social programs. The organization has never been shy about taking all kinds of positions in its delegate resolutions after it has set its direction of farm and food policy.
