摘要

保健专业人士需要应对不断增长的儿童期体重过重的挑战。很少有预防体重过重的措施针对的是幼儿,尤其是处于托儿环境的儿童。我们描述了一种新颖营养和身体活动环境干预措施的理论和建立。我们以访谈和焦点小组的结果、全国性建议和标准评述以及文献评述为基础,建立了一种营养和身体活动环境自我评估工具,用来评估托儿环境中的身体活动和营养政策及实践。围绕现存公共卫生基础设施建立了干预模型,以支持在儿童照护水平使用该自我评估工具并鼓励环境改变,而且此干预模型已经成为儿童照护的营养和身体活动自我评估(Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care, NAP SACC)计划。NAP SACC计划的设计适于扩散使用,并具有在许多环境中实施的可能性。数量众多的州和研究机构已经表示对NAP SACC有广泛的兴趣,而且许多团体正在使用NAP SACC干预措施和材料。NAP SACC有希望成为托儿环境中推广健康体重行为的有效方法。
