Services Wednesday for Lab employee Herrera

Services for Laboratory employee Shirley Herrera are today and Wednesday in Santa Fe. Herrera, of Information Management (IM) Division, died Sept. 1. She was 40.

A rosary is scheduled for 6 p.m., this evening at Cristo Rey Church. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday in San Isidro Church, also in Santa Fe with interment in the San Juan Cemetery in San Juan.

A Pecos High School graduate where she was class valedictorian, Herrera worked at the Laboratory for 17 years.

She is survived by husband Johnny, daughters Kayla and Kelsey, and parents Florian and Nancy Lucero. She also is survived by sisters Lorraine Lucero of the Supply Chain Management (SUP) Division, Annabelle Moore, Sandra Valencia and Angela Sena, and brothers Florian Lucero Jr., and Ken Lucero and other relatives.
