Notebook: Success starts with effective leadership

May 6, 2005

Creating tomorrow's successful Laboratory leaders starts today. That is the goal of the Director's Development Program, which welcomed its third class of participants this week. Eighteen Lab managers are in the 2005 DDP class. Laboratory Director Pete Nanos talks about the Director's Development Program and principle-centered leadership in Monday's Director's Notebook.

Also in Monday's issue of the Director's Notebook, Nanos gives a "thumbs up" to a Hydrodynamics (DX-3) employee who as lead engineer was instrumental in the success of last month's hydrotest experiment at the Dual Axis Radiographic Hydrodynamic Test Facility. And employees can learn about key meetings and other events that were held at Los Alamos this week, including Wednesday's all-employee meeting about electrical safety.

The Director's Notebook publishes on Mondays, except when Monday is a Laboratory holiday. Previous issues are available in an archive as a link from the Daily Newsbulletin.
