Sarah Hooks, left, of Stockpile Complex Modeling and Analysis (D-2), Decision Applications (D) Division Leader Micheline Devaurs, Kerry Swain of Swinerton Construction Co. and Steve Fong, right, of the National Nuclear Security Administration's Los Alamos Site Office, cut the ribbon officially opening the new building for two groups in D Division. Department of Energy and Laboratory officials dedicated the $4.8 million office building Wednesday, now occupied by about 100 personnel from both Statistical Sciences (D-1) and D-2. Devaurs said the new 25,000-square-foot, two-story facility is helping to accomplish infrastructure revitalization at the Laboratory and is one of a series of new buildings completed by the Lab to upgrade overall working environments. The project was completed under cost, six weeks ahead of schedule and with no lost work days. Photo by Nancy Ambrosiano, Public Affairs
