Princesses, superheroes, kid-wizards, and other costumed guests are invited to join us at the 11th annual Boo at the Zoo. There’s no safer or more exciting way for families with children ages two to 12 to enjoy Halloween.

So get ready for tasty candy, delicious snack foods, and other special treats from more than 40 treat stations. Plus, animal encounters, keeper talks, and festive decorations are yours to enjoy.

This is one Halloween party you won't want to miss!

Boo at the Zoo takes place rain or shine.

Tickets

FONZ members: $15 | Nonmembers: $25

Members may buy a maximum of six tickets at the member price.

FONZ members may buy tickets now.

Nonmembers will be able to buy tickets beginning September 3.
Join FONZ to buy tickets now with the member discount.

All adults and children ages two and older require tickets. Kids under two are free. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-replaceable.

How to Get to the Zoo

We encourage you to take Metro to the Zoo. FONZ will provide a shuttle between the Zoo and the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station every 20 minutes. Parking near the Zoo is very limited. Pedestrians may enter the Zoo through the Connecticut Avenue or Harvard Street entrance. link toDirections to the Zoo

Parking

Parking at the Zoo is very limited. Parking passes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as follows:

  • With an order of one to five tickets, you will receive one parking pass.
  • With an order of six tickets or more, you will receive two parking passes.

Night of the Living Zoo

Why should kids have all the fun? Join us for our new adult Halloween bash, Night of the Living Zoo! Wear your best costume while enjoying the National Zoo by moonlight. Experience bone-chilling and mind-boggling performance art including palm readers, fire eaters, talking bats, and illusionists. Dance to the wicked tunes of national touring artist Soulive.
