Y Blowdown Salvage Project

This project is located on the northeast slope of Yoss Ridge where groups of trees were blown down in a winter or early spring wind storm. Approximately 324 acres of ponderosa pine and lodgepole were affected by this event; however treatments will only be implemented in up to 250 of those acres under this project. The project will salvage the down and damaged trees, leaving snags and downed wood quantities enough to satisfy required policies and guidelines for wildlife habitat.
