- One Comment Received: October 31, 2007 - "The Wilderness Society strongly supports the proposed Strawberry Maintenance Underburn project, which will conduct prescribed burning on approximately 25,000 acres in the Strawberry Butte area of the Lakeview Ranger District in order to maintain and improve low-intensity fire condition. The project will significantly contribute toward achieving the goals of the Lakeview Federal Stewardship Unit and is in line with the Lakeview Stewardship Group's Long Range Strategy, in particular our recommendation to restore more natural fire regimes through use of prescribed fire."
