Collins Timber Company Private Road Easement
The proposed route (approximately 360' long and 15' wide) would have to be constructed, reaching Collins' private property. The Forest Service would have to identify any road operation or maintenance measures needed for the protection of the adjacent National Forest land. The Act of December 2, 1980, Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA) is the statute that calls for the Secretary of Agriculture to provide such access to nonfederally owned land within the boundaries of the National Forest System as the Secretary deems adequate to secure to the owner the reasonable use and enjoyment of their property.
