Workshop Comments
The advanced SWAT workshop is designed to be approximately 80% hands-on. We provide computers for attendees to use (1-2 persons per computer) and limit the class size to provide an opportunity for as much one-on-one interaction as possible.
It is assumed that attendees have a working knowledge of ArcGIS and SWAT. We will not review basic concepts of ArcGIS and/or SWAT usage prior to covering the SWAT/ArcGIS interface.
As part of the workshop we will go through the calibration and validation of flow and water quality parameters.
The following topics will be covered:
- Welcome/introductions
- Sensitivity and calibration/validation (theory)
- Break
- Model applications
- Continue calibration/validation
- Uncertainty analysis
- Model applications
- Continue uncertainty analysis
- Discussion of individual participant's SWAT modeling issues
(Participants are requested to send these questions in advance and are encouraged to bring their own laptop with projects for debugging. Any further questions should be forwarded to Dr. Srinivasan at r-srinivasan@tamu.edu)
