Welcome to University Community Childcare

University Community Childcare is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing quality child care to families with children, especially Iowa State University students, staff and faculty. UCC is a multicultural child care center located on the ISU campus since 1971. Monthly fees are based on student/staff/faculty status, income, and family size. UCC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Center is licensed by the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS).

The Center provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years and manages the Comfort Zone, a program for mildly ill children. UCC also offers a Flex-care Preschool which is a part-time program for 3-5 year old children of ISU student families and a morning preschool for families interested in a preschool experience before entering the public school system.
