- American Library Association
The Association for Library Service to Children is a network of more than 3,700 children's and youth librarians, children's literature experts, and publishers committed to improving and ensuring the future of the nation through exemplary library service to children, their families, and others who work with children. - American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children
APSAC is an interdisciplinary professional organization drawing professionals from the fields of child protective services, education, law, medicine, nursing, mental health, social work, and others in an effort to ensure that everyone affected by child maltreatment receives the best possible professional response. APSAC provides professional education, promotes research and practice guidelines, educates the public, and ensures that American public policy concerning child maltreatment is well informed and constructive. APSAC provides a quarterly newsletter, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal, and a network of state chapters and professional education events.

- National CASA
The National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association speaks for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are involved in the juvenile courts. National CASA works with state and local CASA and volunteer guardian ad litem programs to promote and support quality volunteer advocacy to help ensure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.
- National Clearinghouse on Families and Youth (NCFY)
Established by the Family and Youth Services Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as a free information service for communities, organizations, and individuals interested in developing effective strategies for supporting young people and their families, the NCFY website features a free online shopping cart for NCFY publications, information on funding opportunities, an explanation of the Positive Youth Development approach, Ask NCFY (an FAQ section for youth-serving professionals), a calendar of training events, and links to other youth development websites. The site also offers a searchable literature database with abstracts of more than 13,000 publications on youth and family issues.

- National Runaway Switchboard
The National Runaway Switchboard works to help keep America's runaway and at-risk youth safe and off the streets. Between 1.6 and 2.8 million youth run away every year. Call 1-800-RUNAWAY if you are a teenager who is thinking of running from home, if you have a friend who has run and is looking for help, or if you are a runaway ready to go home through our Home Free program. Call if you are a teacher looking for information to pass along to your students about alternatives to running from home. Call if you care about a youth and want information on how you can help someone who may be at risk of running from home. The 24-hour crisis line has an experienced team member ready to help you now. It's anonymous, confidential, and free.

The California Safe from the Start Project is a comprehensive strategy to bring community leaders from throughout the state together to ensure that California children grow up in safe, healthy environments. The project targets children, birth to age 18, with an emphasis on children birth to age 5, who have been exposed to family, school, or community violence.
